South West Yacht Charters is a Bare Boat Yacht Hire Company located in Port Bouvard Marina, Dawesville in Western Australia. Sail between Mandurah and Dunsborough, enjoying all the region has to offer. Our hire and drive area extends from Mandurah through to Dunsborough incorporating Mandurah’s lovely Marina Complex’s, which include markets, restaurants and boutique shopping and beautiful Geographe Bay.

Mandurah Central:

Purchase stores for your holiday or enjoy restaurants, pubs and boardwalk cafes where you can enjoy a great coffee.

Port Bouvard Marina:

Dawesville, enjoy a drink whilst watching the dolphins. Throw a line into the Dawesville cut and have fat juicy Taylor for tea.

Bunbury:

Call in to refuel, and a short walk into the centre of town where you will find shopping, cafes, restaurants and bars; everything a city as to offer.   Bunbury is a port city surrounded by ocean. Koombana Bay is one of the most protected areas on the west coast and is great for afternoon racing or twilight sails. The back drop of Bunbury is great and the local yacht clubs are very friendly.

Busselton:

South West Yacht Charters has placed moorings at the best spots for your exclusive use and peace of mind – no worrying about overnight anchors. One mooring is just off the Busselton Jetty. The coral at Busselton Jetty is well worth a visit together with some great bays, resorts and crystal clear water. The Port Geographe Marina is a lovely setting with The Deck Marina Bar & Restaurant part of the complex. The Deck has an open style plan which reflects the ambience of the marina.  During summer, bands play every weekend.

Dunsborough:

Geographe Bay, which runs between Busselton and Dunsborough, is a great sailing holiday destination. The bay is ideal for families and has lots of beaches and towns to visit. Geographe Bay is a great place for a sailing holiday. Formed behind Cape Naturaliste, its north facing coast line means you are protected from prevailing southerly and south westerly winds. The miles of beaches means you can really get away from it all. One of the great things about the bay is its sense of peace. Anchorages are quiet and often there may only be one or two other yachts. We can provide you with a modern Jeanneau yacht to explore, relax and escape. Whether you’re looking for a short break or a week’s break we can offer you an unforgettable sailing holiday with 360 degree ocean views. For enthusiasts we also have a Jeanneau Sun Fast 37 available. With a mylar genoa and tall rig she is fast on the water and highly competitive. Spinnaker gear is available at additional cost.  This is a boat you can sail all day in light or heavy winds and have a heap of fun. The Sunfast is a three cabin yacht with full galley. She has a large fridge, two burner stove with oven, chartplotter and autopilot. She is easily capable of 8 knots in a moderate breeze.  Sunfast will provide heaps of fun for experienced sailors.

Qualifications

• Western Australian Recreational Skippers Ticket or overseas equivalent.
• Demonstrated sailing experience sailing a cruising yacht
• If you don’t hold the above qualifications we can place a sailing instructor on board with you for very modest cost to make your holiday enjoyable

We require a Safety bond of $3000 and diesel fuel is an extra cost. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD). Subject to change without notice.

How to make a booking

Organising a charter is really easy. Simply let us know when you would like your holiday, and how many people there will be with you. We will send you all the details and can arrange a booking either by email or phone/fax. Once we receive your booking we will forward a briefing manual to you in preparation for your on board briefing.
